Organometallic polymers,Self-assembly in organotin biocides, Actinide extractants

Current research interests are associated with the chemistry, biochemistry, materials potential, and environmental fate of the group 14 elements, Si, Ge, Sn and Pb.

  • Organometallic polymers. Formation and evaluation of silyltransition  mixed valence polymers with potential as sensors and conducting polymers.
  • Self-assembly in organotin biocides. Both intra-and inter-molecularly self-assembled organotin compounds are designed to impact their biological selectivity.
  • Actinide extractants. The modification of traditional CMPO ligands to facilitate, inter alia membrane separation are in active progress.
